Welcome to SCC Records.

This is our little corner of the music world, and Monday to Friday from 10 to 22, we open the doors, turn up the sound and let the music take over.

And when we say music...

We mean MUSIC.

CDs. Vinyl. Cassettes. Old favourites. Forgotten tracks. Strange discoveries. Songs you haven't heard in years — and songs you didn't know you needed to hear.

🐧 Mrs. Pinguin:
That's actually one of my favourite things about this place.

You never quite know what you're going to find.

A familiar artist can lead you to a track you've never noticed before. One album can send you down an entirely different musical path.

And sometimes the most interesting record in the room is the one nobody came looking for.

That's why we don't want this to feel like some endless playlist quietly running in the background.

We want to actually LISTEN.

Turn the record over.

Put another CD in.

Hear that cassette click.

Dig through the collection and see where the music takes us next.

Some of what passes through here eventually finds a new home through SCC Records.

But before that?

It gets another chance to PLAY.

You don't need to be a collector.

You don't need to know catalogue numbers, pressings or production details.

That's the whole point of SCC Records.

There's ALWAYS another track.

Another artist.

Another box to open.

And perhaps that's the easiest way to explain what we do here.

We give music room to be discovered again.

Not because it's old.

Not because it's rare.

Not because somebody decided it's important.

Simply because it's worth listening to.

🐧 Mr. Pinguin:
And we've got twelve hours a day, five days a week to prove it!

🐧 Mrs. Pinguin:
That sounded suspiciously like a challenge.

🐧 Mr. Pinguin:
It IS now.

And we believe they deserve more than just our applause.

That's why SCC Records is registered with and pays the required music licensing fees to Gramex and KODA when we broadcast.

🐧 Mr. Pinguin: Because if music gives us twelve hours of great moments every weekday, supporting the people who create it just makes sense.

🐧 Mrs. Pinguin: Music has value. Creativity has value. And doing our part to support the people behind it matters to us.

🐧 Mr. Pinguin: So when the music starts playing here at SCC Records, we're not just pressing PLAY...
